Front Porch Progress

I have been making a little progress on my summer to do list! Here are a couple of photos of our front porch.

The door color is Throughbred by Ralph Lauren. (If you don't already know, use gray primer under red paint and it saves you many coats! I learned that the hard way!)

The furniture is very special to me because it belonged to my great-grandmother Louise. She was a wonderful gardener and a patient, Christian soul from what I am told. I am thrilled to have some of her neat pieces. Plus it is really comfortable!
In case you can't tell I absolutely LOVE glazed pots! I try and group them by color. Here I use all aqua / turquoise pots! Love, love them!
The prints on the wall are fun cowgirls!
Here is a fun rocking horse that I found in college. I picked it up cheap back then knowing it would come in handy someday for my kids! It has! Both girls love to ride it! It has seen many miles - ha ha.

Thoughtful Thursday - Patience

For those of us who are a bit impatient with our baby gardens here is a quick thought to read while having your coffee this morning.
"Movies and TV have created the illusion that people must wait only an hour to solve their problems to get what they want. Don't be trapped into thinking the same is true in real life. PATIENCE is the hardest when we need it the most, but it is key to achieving our goals."    From the Life Application Study Bible (NLT version)

Here is some inspiration photos that make me happy! I hope you enjoy them too. (Please forgive the lack of sources - I saved these photos before I had any intentions of blogging.)

HAVE A HAPPY HAPPY DAY!
